Garden of God

Hey there, angel

How’s your garden grow?

I hear you found some good ground now

You’re going to reap just what you sow

Gonna bring home a harvest this time

Something to call your own

Something for those cold winter nights

Something to keep you warm.

We can give it some water

We can pull some weeds

We can give it lots of room

And keep our shadows off the seeds.

Hey there, angel

We’ve both been here before

But it’s a brand new season

Maybe even the one we’ve been waiting for

Things happen for a reason

But we can check all that at the door

Cause when I have a moment with you

I’d be a fool to want anything more

We can give us some water

We can pull some weeds

We can give it lots of room

And keep our shadows off the seeds

The past is always close behind

So many things that I forgot

Storm clouds brewing in our minds

Sometimes it rains in the garden of God.

Hey there, angel

Look at how this gardens grown

Maybe we should put a hedge around it

Even good things get out of control

We can take it easy

Take it nice and slow

Enjoy all the flowers

Feel every breeze that will blow.

We can give it some water

We can pull some weeds

We can give it lots of room

And keep our shadows off the seeds.
